1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Good company to start with?

Ok another question. I heard from another posting in a seperate forum that Prime has their own CDL training program. The post also said something about as long as your in your first week of instruction (not training) and you decide trucking is not for you, you can walk away with no obligation to them? Is that true and how exactly does that all work?

Anyone ever heard of this policy. I'm not looking for a get out card, just heard about it and was wondering if there was any truth to it.

Umm..with enough tickets to get a license suspension most reputable companies likely won't touch you I'm afraid.

In your situation and in this economy a good company is the one that hires you.

Read the forum, there are people who are getting turned away for one or two tickets that are a couple of years old.

Having said that, good luck to you. Don't give up, it may take a while.
