Play my own playlist when I have Sirius XM with no CD player?

Strange factoid - you're generally limited to 'X' number of files (+sub-files) when using a USB on your stereo.... Like you could load an 8G or a 16G, often a 32G - but after that (64, 128, 256, 512, 1TB), read capability will completely fall out.

Great investment if you own a bunch of cds & want to hit 'Random' tho...... I listen to a lot of music.

 

Thanks for the info. I have about 4,600 songs on a USB but only about 1,850 will play in my newish car. If I was to ad 50 more, maybe two more would play in the car. Seems like with all with our technologies they could to better, even with all the different formats.

 

WX is the abbreviation for Weather band radio. It's the govt radio broadcast, often using a computer voice, that provides a small amount of useful info and is in many OTR truck stereos. I think there are 7 WX channels. Some CB radios have WX band.

 

I have a 1tb apple iPhone 13 pro. Got 450gb (21,000 files) of music and audio books on it. I don't use it as a phone but I tether it to my Android for net access. I dumped my satellite sub a long time ago. I use quite a few streaming sources plus I buy albums on Apple Music.

The 1tb iphones are expensive but definitely worth it in the long run. More than enough storage room for mp3's and audio books. Apps for all kinds of streaming content. Bluetooth compatible if your stereo has Bluetooth connection. If no BT on the stereo, you can get lightning adaptors for the 3.5mm jack.
