How much was your quote. I don't mind having a 500 mile radius since I'm intrastate anyway. I just wanna haul logs or rock. The truck I'm looking at is a 1994 freightliner.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

To the two young guys, buying a truck right now in florida, especially at your age and no experience is going to be the worst thing you could ever do, I hate to say but you're going to lose your butt. You guys need to think long and hard about that decission, you're going to be limited to Florida driving only, your insurance rates are going to be through the roof, have you looked at the cost of fuel lately? One of you mentioned hauling rock, I work for Pritchett trucking and our rock haulers out of Lake butler and Palatka are struggling to say the least, just take the advice of some of the senior drivers on here, I know you guys have it in your head to go through with buying a truck, but it's nowhere near as easy or productive as you guys think, my friend lost everything he had a few years back when things were still okay, they've went so much farther down hill from then. Please take the advice of others, I'd hate to see you guys lose everything just for the "adventure" of driving, it's not going to turn out the way you think.

i know il get chewed out for this but for the two guys wanting to start out if u need a job i know wiltrans will take a student from fla as a matter of fact basically that's all they hire right now and the job market is tough down here i ran for ffe before coming to Pepsi and they have two terminals here one in dundee and the other in Miami and i was told it would be hard to get a load out of here and might want to think about reloacating due to fla being a consumer state so i feel ur pain and to scared feline have u tried raven up in jax they r pretty good and i see with ur experience u should be able to get on

Anyone know where Patco is or what there website is?
-
You won't really find a website for patco, but their closest terminal for you is in brooksville off of 98. They're so so for a local company, pay is low but they seem to stay fairly busy. They've got a job in Louisianna going on and that's about all they've been advertising for lately, drivers needed to work out of state, so if that's something you're interested in you might look in to it. I've also heard through the grapevine that Cypress is hiring dump drivers up around crystal river, inverness area. Anyhow, that's what I know about patco, they also operate under the names montgomery, margie wood, bellview transport, diamond c transport, and tampa truck lines, I have no clue why they have all those names but they're all one in the same.
