About 4 or 5 years ago the DEA raided a legal(ish) hemp farm on Menomonie land. Came in real hard. Most everyone complied, but if there had been any resistance?

Grow sites don't tend to put up much resistance, it's better to try and run than fight. Stash houses on the other hand? Those raids often turn violent.

How does the DEA have jurisdiction on tribal land?

That is a VERY good question, one I have no idea the answer to. I don't even know where to start looking for the answer. The interplay between tribal land and state/local government entities in WI is "complicated",
Lac du Flambeau tribe to reopen barricaded roads in northern Wisconsin

Toss the Feds in and it's anyone guess who is in the "right".

I'll also point out the DEA isn't known for strict adherence to jurisprudence (please see "sneak and peek warrants" or civil forfeiture).

Illogical. Pot heads are to laid back to even go shooting. Drunks on the other hand ...

DEA or some other federal department tore up about 10 acres of land on a farm around hear last year. An overflight found some wild hemp growing on a section of land that was obviously not in cultivation because of trees and ponds it was growing around. It seems to me after seeing the damage that whoever was in charge was trying ro cause as much damage as possible. And no, I don't have a news article as it never made the news. I know about it because my brother in law pointed it out to me, and he's friends with the farmer it happened to.
