Actually, I'm plenty happy with Prime. And despite what some others say about the company, I think we're for the most part getting a fair deal.

As far as "friends who have lost their whatever" it would be nice to see what they did wrong. Usually it's barrelling down the highway at 70mph with a trail of dead presidents coming out of their stacks...

There is and ALWAYS has been someone willing to work for less $ than the guy beside them. and until that STOPS there will be low rates / wages in TRUCKING.

Delivered a reefer load for my son last week , broker rep was sitting at the warehouse offering the guys pulling his ( already chopped $ wise ) loads CASH instead of the 10 day wait. Only glitch was he took 22% discount on the loads , they were scrambling to get in line to get the $.

 

Loads were out of Florida but were delivered in Ontario Canada. The guy sitting at the warehouse was the Brokers REP , will see if I can find out the name of the outfit.

Load I was delivering was from a completely different place and not with a load broker.

 

Why the "HA HA Canada" , sons loads pay good $ and in US $ and FSC in US$ . Load the backhaul 3 miles away ( enroute home )

I run lots of loads in / out of Canada , had a quiet day and hours so I did him a favor.

 

What's wrong with freight into or out of Canada?

 

Boy, as old as this post is, I hoope this gets read!! Perhaps not just the third party logistics, but the federal government has also allowed these companies to do many of the things they do, especially with their lease agreements (CRF 49). Check it out on Google, Wiki, or wherever, it won't change, it's federal law!!
