Terrible place. Hope you aren’t stuck there all weekend.

Any of you bike guys leave a battery tender on your bikes? Just bought a little 0.75A tender and noticed it came with a 2nd set of leads with ring terminals. Been thinking of putting those on so I don't need to pull the battery over winter.

I drained the battery down a bit yesterday while sorting out a couple electrical issues. It wasn't the greatest to begin with but hopefully it just needed a top up. I got it up to 12.3 volts so far but a 0.75A charger takes time.

Yea, I've killed mine. The tender will not bring it back to full charge. But when everything is fine. It just maintains it. I've put it on lawn tractors. Used on extra semi when it was parked. The lawn tractor and motorcycle batteries suck. I've never had good luck except Interstate. However hard to justify on something you hardly use.

I have the plug mounted to my bike. I keep it plugged in all winter and extended storage. 17 years and 130km, on my 3rd battery.
Be carefull charging those small bike batteries. 1 amp is plenty. 2a will boil em. Bike charging systems in that era are literally just enough to keep em up.

Yeah I think I'm going to mount the extra set of leads right to the battery, save having to remove the side panel each time. Going in for an inspection this week, hopefully start riding next weekend.
