not all Daseke companies are the same. I’ve been at SPD for 8 and a half years. We only get $40 for tarp loads, $60 for ltl tarp loads, and up to $100 for of tarps.

While that is low I tell people to look at the full picture. With bonuses, Od pay, accessorial, ect. That total compensation number is over a dollar a mile, as a company driver.

I’m way to lazy to do the short one day load all week. Unloading and reloading everyday sounds a lot like work.

Missed this post at first. Yes we hire out of PA, we have a small yard in berwick, pa. That yard almost exclusively services our NE elevator account.

we are based in WA and do a lot of Midwest to west coast. We primarily haul aerospace parts, elevators, and equipment. But we will haul anything that pays enough to make it worth our time.

might check out this thread where @supersnackbar and I post a lot of our adventures. https://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/threads/an-old-mans-career-goes-flat-snackbar-moves-to-open-deck.2436344/

t might be a good idea to PM me here. This is bordering on Recruting, and the Mods usually don’t like that. Unless they say otherwise…

yeah its not every week i get the same day pick up and deliver the next day it only happens when they need to keep me in the area to get me home otherwise im usually running long loads.. but the short loads getting home kill me. Like i said my company is good we get 64cpm ive easily get 2900-3200 miles a week with maybe a tarp or two once a week thats average and all the benefits but getting home is the problem they always wanna bounce me around like a ragdoll like i like in PA no MA or NY or CT wtf
