Yep. This cat thinks I’m picking on him but I’m really not. He’s been on dozens of different threads asking the same questions. What he needs to do is close the laptop and start knocking on doors. When he gets an interview don’t tell your life history, just here to apply for a trucking job and see what happens. If they give him a road test and he passes he’s got one foot in the door.

What about Rowland? I thought they were willing to give you a go, the drive to and from sucks but at this point it might be worth it. From what I recall you’ve never listed your location other than going to school in fort Pierce.

Rowland turned me down due to the points on my license. I live in Melbourne.

The southern half of Florida has LOTS of ag cdl jobs....bringing in different produce from the fields.

You might take the suggestion above...& start knocking on some doors.

See if a farm will let you drive one of their produce trucks -- either locally, &/or on the farm.

Hey -- if the illegal aliens can do it -- why can't you? :dontknow:

Construction dump truck may be another option.

I see helpers at companies like coke and other food service companies, you also mentioned moving companies. All of these would get your foot in the door, albeit maybe not driving right off the bat but I’m sure it would set you up well in the long run. No offense to you, but if you lived off of 7 years of part time work at auto zone, any foot in the door to a trucking career should pay equal or even more.

That would tell them you worked part-time, but why would they disclose your disability status? In other words, I don't think anyone is disclosing your disability other than you yourself. There are lots of other reasons why someone might only work part-time. If you've been mentioning your condition as the reason, just stop doing that and think of another reason that sounds more attractive to a prospective employer.

Actually come July 1st he'd be well-positioned to scoop up some of the jobs the illegals have held.
