I had same noise befor installing new brake shoes on my 2016 trailer that i bought new. I was hopping bew 4707 TRP brake shoes will fix noise after i take down 3 year olf Meritor brakes shoes but noise is still there. Brake drums are Webb and still good and they are 3 year old. So what could .qke tbis anoing noise. All brake chambers are S cam bushing are fairly new. If i brake harder than letz say 30psi apply pressure noise will be gone. All slack adjusters are adjusted and holding adjustment. Btw i do all these repaires by my self at home
Brakes making noise when braking 40mph or less

I dont think noise was cousing by siezed up anchor pins. It have to be one of the old drums

Squeaking is usually caused by frozen anchor pins. Sounds like the shoes squeaking on drums, but is actually vibration at the pin/shoe point. Kind of like auto disc brakes squeak without anything on the back of the pads. So I’ve been told. Recently did my Tractor Brakes. Most of the pins were frozen, ( have been for years), finally replaced them all. Made sure they rolled nicely. Used a bit of anti seize. Reman Merritor shoes and new balanced Webb drums. One still squeaks sometimes. Lol ????
Siinman Thanks this. -
