I'm excited to see how the edges slick up with that horse hide on the back side. After doing a little research and talking to some old time cowboys, I'm confident that by backing a belt with horse hide I effectively double, or even triple, the life of the belt.

Horse hide does NOT stretch, is not affected as much by sweat or mosture, and is incredibly tough. Think I'm going to start offering horse hide backed belts as "Lifetime Belts" for slightly more than my standard belts.
