@rabbiporkchop my DNC 520 came in today, gonna see what happens when I get back to the truck and hook it up to the Anytone quad 6. I’m going to get a “radio check” to see if “Fine tune” at the Rio Grande can get a grip on me….. from the high desert in SoCali.

Off topic. I'm looking at your truck and seeing where you are from and wondering about the truth of all I hear about licensing older trucks without emissions junk on them out there. (I'm retired and my truck is a 98 and I've been to CA in it, but it isn't commercial. I was pulling my 5th wheel RV, so no issues with the commercial regulations/laws. Blew right by the weight stations like I had Pre-Pass!)

 

There are plenty of loop holes(cheaters) that you can get away with. I wouldn’t know how about to get away with it, just know I see plenty of non compliant trucks out here. However there always dodging the coops. The loads I haul, they want you to be compliant, so I basically go by the book to keep everyone happy and peace of mind. To answer your question……. There’s no hardcore enforcement the areas I run. Just roll the dice….

 

Your comment kind of surprises me since your tech is bent on NIST calibrated test equipment, just to talk on the chicken band. So I guess all the IMD talk that was shown on the test equipment from hard drive, was just for show?

Is it possible that people are no longer hearing Hard Drive because they don't have the receiver sensitivity necessary?

 

I think that propagation has changed to the eastern half of the country and muddick can no longer be heard.
