    Lol!!! I tried speeding around corners in downtown Cincinnati Industrial area. Slamming on brakes in turns, even tried to swerve it in a curve on the interstate a couple times, ( when no one was around) Lol. No Luck. Consignee said it’s never arrived with blocking. I don’t remember making any crazy maneuvers. Must have just been construction in Cincinnati and the wrong curve. I had delivered and loaded on Friday, got home just in time to take my wife to the airport. Stayed home as long as possible, since I knew I had today off. Made delivery and first pick just in time yesterday. 2nd pick tomorrow 190 miles away. Deliver Cleveland on Thursday. Hanging out at Pilot with the dogs. I hear the weather in Hawaii is nice. Lol. Wife and her sister are livin the life. Lol.

    My guess is the pallets weren't pushed all the way against each other/header board and the floor/bottom of the pallets were dirty. The half inch gaps can ruin your day. Once they had the added friction of the side wall, they're not moving again.

    Watched a guy with presumably a bad brake chamber having Loves roadside swap in a new chamber while he sat in the road with 4ways on in front of the Loves entrance/exit. These are the lowhanging fruit that these rates are supposed to be plucking.

    @JonJon78

    Did something today that you only hear about on the internet, like passing a FedEx truck.

    I passed a HURRICANE.

    I think it was wounded though. Blackie said it was 94F. HURRICANE was doing maybe 64mph, with his windows rolled down.

    During last month dry van was still horrendous in Midwest and Northeast, but was OK in the South, from Carolinas all the way to AR.
    Since we go home every weekend, I would book something from Detroit to go to Carolinas on Monday and hang out not too far from there till Thursday, then go back home.
    Last week my driver had MI-NC 650 miles $1200, NC to TN 200 miles for $900, then I booked TN-MD 580 miles for $2500, but load got cancelled after sitting in the dock for 2 hours.
    Then got TN to NC 270 miles for $1000 and NC to MI 800 miles for $1650. All including deadhead.

    Myself I did MI-NC 600 miles for $1100, then SC-ND 1600 miles for $4800, then MN-MI 750 miles and 250 deadhead for $2000.

    These numbers are not impressive and I really had to hustle to even get that. It was countless phone calls and getting loaded in the afternoon. If you want easy morning loads then you can expect $1.5-1.8 freight.

    I really have no clue how folks with high equipment payments are making it out there.

    MI- to NC was in demand last week. Did a reefer load there for 3.65 a mile. Hudson ill-Charlotte, then 4.05 a mile Columbia to Pottsville.

    Last week Tuesday-Thursday MI-NC dry van loads went up to $2.5 mile in the middle of the week, but definitely not anywhere close to the reefer price you got
