PSA From Iowa State Patrol About Alcoholic Beverages In Your Truck

What's funny is in nanny-state Canada you can have alcohol in the truck. That's the one thing they don't dare take away from truckers.

Soooo…. The way I read that… in Iowa you can get sloshed with 2lot lizards in the flattop like it’s a vip club..as long as your off duty at a truck stop

 

We also don't get drug tested either

 

I think the border crossing into Canada at Emerson, we use to pickup booze from the duty free shop at Pembina, ND. But then guys started to get troubles with state troopers for booze in the truck.
So after that we still bought it at Pembina, but they put the pickup booth right in front of customs, so technically now we were on federal land and the state troopers didn’t have justification, so we were free to haul it into Canada and take it home.

 

that's how it was explained to me back in the mid 80's, by the Tenn HP.

no I didn't get busted for beer, I was getting a logbook ticket and they had a cooler full and I asked about them.

get a few, enjoy them in the truck and make sure none are left when you leave.
