Hey gang, I am sitting in Lancaster CA waititng for this tire place to open up. 3 stop load. 1st delivers Monday. 1 hour from my mentor's house. We aren't suppossed to pick up until Sunday. We are hoping it will be OK to load today.

I have been to Wyoming to haul kitty litter to Denver, hualed some anti erosion mats from Mancos CO to Wyoming. Had to cross over Wolf Creek Pass. That is the meanest mountains I have seen. We picked up some empty beer cans in Golden CO and T called them in Fontana this AM. I just started week 4.

I understand we can test out at any terminal we happen to be by. If I am right I am done with my mentor March 26th.

I understand the log guy in Memphis has a reputation as being super picky. He is known company wide as being tough. I am OK with that> i
If I can pass his audits I am good to go anywhere.

I am hearing that the newer Volvos are midrise and have no room. They are even using them to run team. Hopefully I get an older highrise.

Nothing wrong with that. A lot of students I knew were thankful for that short break after school and orientation!

Rug, I think I know the log guy you are talking about in Memphis, LOL. How do you like LA county? Lancaster is where my son was born many years ago. It was a lot different back then. Sounds like you are rolling along pretty good. Always look forward to your updates and good luck out there.

I'm worried about the one with the "white out" allergy.

    Hello everyone,

Wondering if anyone is interested in a team partner. I am only wanting to drive team. Just don't want to be out there alone. If I can find a partner I will apply to be a driver. I drove 6 months for Covenant in 1994-1995, after graduating their school. I am still in contact with another grad of that class. She is my character and capability reference. I recently added Hazmat to my CDL. I hold onto the idea of being a part of a great team for about a year or two. I would like to have my own truck after that and still team drive only not stay out for a month.. I realize I am probably dilutional, having waited so long. I went into sales and got a 15 over speeding ticket, that kept me out for 3 yrs and then hiring freezes. It will soon be 5 yrs no driving, so I'll be hopeless. I would actually get the CDL taken off and redo school if I could get a great partner. Well, anybody? hope to hear from ya.

Jane check out TN Tech in Chattanooga. Keep ypur CDL and get either a refresher course there or take the whold class again. Lotto grants can be as much as $600 the whole course is $1400 and 218 hours.

Roady Swift didn't udate their info on the shipper. It said we could pickup Saturday afternoon. We could have done it by 1pm the real time (not what our info said.) So we stopped at the T/A in Ontario and got a shower. We sat there all night. We did bob up to Walmart and get some stuff to cook. It was breezy and rainy. We have a new Coleman grill. We cooked rice, brats, and sirloin tip steaks inside the truck. A little cramped but worht the hassle!

My trainer has a 12V cooler.........at home! I brought a Igloo chest when we did my 34 reset near my home. I packed some Cokes, and yogurt in there.

California is beautiful in many ways. Being a gear head I love looking at the junkyards!

This load is a 3 stop, Lake Havasu City, Goodyear, and Yuma. Michael's retail store.

Time for bed. I am in Bullhead City. My mentor is home with his family. We leave out at 3am for a 5am appointment.

STAY SAFE AND MAKE SOME MONEY!:biggrin_255:
