As the title suggests these are my problems, a little history on this engine, it has jus over 100k miles on a complete out of frame overhaul, it was originally a 330hp cpl1532, I rebuilt it to 430hp cpl1652, bought aftermarket injectors from Premco sent injectors and pump to Pittsburg power to have them set at 600hp, timed the engine to .172 per Pete Sharp from Pittsburgh. The original heads were reused after the machine shop rebuilt and pressure checked them. Now on to the issues, it's smoked white at idle and put diesel in the oil ever since day one, a couple months after the rebuild I pulled the injectors and sent them back to Premco so they could have a look and freshen them up, I've had the injectors pulled out several times since and put new orings on every time, I've put a new STC oil control valve on, I've had the pump off and checked the shaft seals and weep hole, I've put die in the fuel and looked around the injectors with a black light, I've pressurized the fuel system with air, seems like I've done pretty much everything I can think of and can't find anything. It puts around a gallon of fuel in the oil in about 5-6000 miles so it's a really slow leak and it's never really changed that I can tell no matter what I've done to try to fix it. Leaving me thinking I may have a cracked head but I'm trying to rule everything else out first cause changing heads is a big job.
On the white smoke at idle I've tried numerous things and haven't seen any improvements, I've put new orings on the little oil tubes inside the rocker housings, I've installed an oil pressure gauge in the oil manifold and it's got good oil pressure, new oil control valve like I said earlier, it runs smooth, no skips or misses, the timing is correct as far as I know, I've done all the work myself so maybe I didn't do something quite right when setting the timing. When the engine is cold and the oil pressure is high it hardly smokes at all, but once it's warmed up and the oil pressure comes down then it starts smoking, it always clears up fairly quick when I get out on the road.
Thanks in advance for any help, if you have any other questions I'll try to answer to the best of my knowledge/memory.

Had fuel getting in my oil last summer, never could find or fix the problem until I replaced the heads. Big Cam….

So you bought injectors from Warren, then sent them to be altered at Pittsburgh Power? Then sent them back to Warren at Premco to look for a problem…? Why didn’t you send them back to PP since they had them apart last….?

Can't remember for sure why I sent them back to Warren may have been simply because he would be able to get to it a lot quicker then Pittsburgh, but Warren said that Pittsburgh didn't have them all flowing exactly the same, kinda like they didn't do jus a real good job

I had originally tried to get the injectors from PP but they were looking for Cummins recon and couldn't find any so I went to Premco, the rest of the rebuild kit came from PP and I talked to Pete quite a bit on the phone so I wanted to do as much business with them as possible, prolly should have had Warren build the pump and injectors right from the start

Did you adjust the new STC valve when you put it on?

I would guess a cracked head is leaking as well. Not many other places for fuel to leak into the oil

No I haven't adjusted it, it does switch a little low, around 20-30 psi, but I just put it on about a month ago.

I run N14s. I've had that happen as well. I wouldn't trust that it's not a cracked head. You can go to your local parts dealer, purchase an oil sample kit & mail it in for free. Good luck!

What compression ratio are your pistons?

Did you check the timing code with anything else? Mine is set at .133

I don't know what the compression ratio is, they're steel top pistons from Pittsburgh power, and no I haven't checked the timing code with anything else I jus set it where Pete told me to, .172
