superchargers make power at higher RPM's and take more to make boost. a 2 stroke does not require a supercharger to run. My weedeater could use one but does not have one. Turbos make power better with low rpms. The old DD where ran at almost the limiter. Turbos take less power to make power because of less moving parts. Turbos are also perportiond to the size of the motor.

Your weed eater is crankcase scavenged IE supercharged it has no intake valve look into the theroy of 2 stroke operation detroits are multi cylinder and a common crank case so they need external asparation

St.Rita,63rd & Claremont,1968. Never got into street racing, too chicken I guess. Liked going fast but hated any unforseen cross traffic! Had a maroon 32 Ford coupe, chopped, lowered, on a moly tube frame powered by a 60 over 427 rat motor destroked a little with a 671 on top of a Holy 850. Had dual exhaust system coming off the rear side of the headers with a manual closing gate on the header tube. Hung out at Duke's on 82nd & Harlem showing off cars and struttin for the girls...we thought we were so cool! Then we had to grow up...fun while it lasted. Only placed I ever street raced was the side road next to the Calumet Expressway at about 115th St if memory serves correctly. There was a real nice 1/4 mile run there with a 1/2 mile shutdown. All nice and smooth. That's were I got scarred ####less when someone almost pulled out in front of me at about 130mph...last time I ever got on that car anywhere except at the strip...Remember cheater slicks? If I remember right Chicago and OakLawn cops wouldn't let guys run them but a lot of the suburbs did.

Use to run regular slicks on my GTO on Fridays and Saturdays.. Stayed out of Chicago and Oak Lawn seemed cool as long as you weren't noisy.. We raced in the forest preserve mainly, 103 rd st.Blocked off both ends so no traffic.. Couple Guys use to bring fuel dragsters on trailers to White Castles and then meet up behind the Ford plant in Chicago Heights and race.. Never made it to Dukes, I think that opened after 1969 when I joined the OD Circus.. BTW, saw your B'day is tomorrow, so is mine... Happy B'day to us !!!!!

superchargers are also "perportiond" to the size of the motor.

Did ya happen to miss the quotes around the word free in my post? And, yes I know all about back pressure. I also know how it relates to surge all too well.

Well Mr Kansas, do you know what a Peanut Blower is? Wasnt a 350 DD just a 318 with a turbo added?

Most people who ask for advice from others have already resolved to act as it pleases them
