It's unbearable here in Fremont. You start sweating bullets the second you step outside and everything sticks to you. High temps, high humidity, no wind. Feels more like Florida than Nebraska. And I'm working in it changing stuff from one truck to the other. Suffice it to say I have both trucks running with the A/C on full blast. Screenshot_20230726_180137_AccuWeather.jpg

@cdavis188 … I’m glad they had a couple options for you to try on. Not a tall man myself but these trucks are small enough without being over 6”… I can only imagine … hope this one is a better fit for you.

I’ll be glad to trade this truck in. Hoping the drivers seat sits a bit more square as this one seems to slant a bit from front left to back right. Not comfy on the lower back. I was going to invest in a nice upgraded seat but put it off too long at which point I was closer to trading out this one and just opted to wait and see.

Again, FCC does try to address the issues that we might hit out here if possible and within the budget.

FCC is a very good company, no matter what the Tulsa local driver thinks.

Hey as we all deal with this heat, let’s keep the shop folks in our thoughts and prayers as they have to actually work in this heat and can only escape on breaks and between trucks. At least we get to sit in a running truck with A/C most of the day. Let’s hope they are working smart and taking precautions to avoid heat related issues while keeping our trucks running … with AC.

Oh YUCK… I can’t imagine swapping trucks in this heat. Stay hydrated buddy. Maybe a good time to switch to nights… ;-)

Thankfully I don't have all the much stuff. Laundry hamper, duffel bag, blanket etc. For the majority of the other stuff I took the easy way out and bought a tote from Walmart to put all my loose stuff in so I don't have crap strewn about my new to me clean truck. I'm actually done moving stuff over save for some straps. I'm just giving the fridge in this Freightliner a good scrub then I'll be pretty much done.

I always wondered what kind of deal they got from FCC because to me the math doesn't pencil out to hire a driver to run for advertised rates.

I do know in my cornhusker days McMullen had a separate contract from the rest of us where they got more money but I know nothing of the terms and details but I'll tell ya one thing ...they are crafty sobs and I wouldn't trust one of them with my dog .

    Great company.

Went from Regional to OTR overnigjht!

Making 50c to 56c a mile no questions. All what you put into it. Glad to be a part of a company that values it's employees. Got started off in a brand new condo Freightliner right off the bat.
