Tax soda, pizza to cut obesity

2 thoughts here:
1st, this has worked SO WELL to curb alcohol and tobacco use, right?
2nd, what's next? Food rations for fat people? Mandatory exercise programs for the morbidly obese?
All for the greater good! Since the goobermint is going to be paying our healthcare bills, these are REAL possibilities!
Remember our parents' line: "as long as you live under my roof and I pay your bills..."?

 

Bullcrap I say. JUst another tax.

 

So, its like that is it.

I seem to recall that, the current policy of tax till it hurts and than tax some more is doing just fine to drive people out of their homes, cause the loss of millions of jobs, and force people to change their eating habits is doing just fine.

 

Just we need, more liberal social engineering thru draconian legislation! They are convinced they have to save us from ourselves! Customer we are just too stupid or lazy to take care of ourselves, I guess.

 

When they outlaw pizza, only outlaws will have pizza.

I'm going to counter the pizza tax with a "Punch researchers in the nuts with my fist" tax.

 

I'm starting to think the Amish lifestyle is looking more appealing all the time!

 

I've never seen a fat Amish man....they're very hard working people. the gubment is just looking for more money. you could eat 5,000 calories worth of broccoli and grapefruit every day - you'd still be fat.

 

It might be just another tax, but the heath care issue is just another way for the gov't to intrude into your life. If they are footing the bill....you better believe that they are going to have the final say! Make no mistake about it!

 

Shall we all get in line for our weekly/monthly allotment of gruel and toilet paper, as well?????

For God's sake, this country was founded because our forefathers wanted FREEDOM...from unreasonable taxation, for worship, and for individual rights and freedoms!!!

By golly, if I want a pizza and soda for every meal, and become 300 pounds, I thought I had the RIGHT and FREEDOM to do so, in America!!!

Oh, but wait...it's not....anymore, the America it was meant to be.....
