Do all companies have following distance safety alerts??

Do you know what the braking threshold is to trigger the hard braking event? A reduction in speed greater than 9 mphps (miles per hour per second). That's the equivalent of going 65 - 0 in about 7 seconds. That's WAY TOO HARD braking. The only times I have ever triggered that event was to avoid a collision with a blind and deaf driver pulling out in front of me or when the early radar system days shadow-braked for an overpass.

My recently assigned truck has the alert systems,,,however the Collision alert goes off on every curve that has a chevron marker???? Moose crosses in front of me and nothing!!

 

Have your shop calibrate the radar... its looking off to the side as if that's the front.
