Caged eggs the chicken spends it’s whole life in a small cage. Cage free they spend their whole life in a larger cage. ie: they all live in a building.

If you like the thought of organic, you can have eggs made by that chicken eating other animals poop. I know an organic farmer, and he grazes Cattle, then has free range hogs running the same pasture eating the cows poop, and free range chickens running behind the hogs eating their poop, each animal burns progressively “cleaner” I guess! Oh, and he sells those eggs for like $11 a dozen.
