Caged eggs the chicken spends it’s whole life in a small cage. Cage free they spend their whole life in a larger cage. ie: they all live in a building.

One gets a little exercise, one is just an egg mill in a small cage……

So the caged free egg should be better in nutrition, correct?

I don’t know that it affects the nutrition of the egg. But it supposedly is more humane to the chickens. Legit free range eggs are better eggs. We raise our own. Those chickens eat, bugs, grass, tomatoes and anything really. They have a darker color in the yolk. (More orange than yellow). And they have a richer taste.

I suppose cage free may be better than caged. I really don’t know.

Orange yolks are fed corn...our yolks are yellow cuz they're fed wheat.

Ours get a little corn. I didn’t know wheat will make them yellow. I just assumed it was the variety of everything else.

If you like the thought of organic, you can have eggs made by that chicken eating other animals poop. I know an organic farmer, and he grazes Cattle, then has free range hogs running the same pasture eating the cows poop, and free range chickens running behind the hogs eating their poop, each animal burns progressively “cleaner” I guess! Oh, and he sells those eggs for like $11 a dozen.

If I could have, or would have been able to grasp and embrace the fact that our world revolves around poop and every aspect of it so much, I'd be wealthy by now.
