I believe we can sell back vacation days after the 3rd week. Before that you can ask to get paid for any M-F day that you don't work due to dispatch timing. I have also taken unpaid time off. Never been turned down for time off in 10 years. Those politicians are salaried so its a whole different ball game. We don't get paid unless we work. They never work.

My company offers paid vacation every six months I love it. took my first one first week of September, will be eligible for next one in January will probably take it in april. And next one in July or sept.

my wife 1st job in America consist of 4 weeks with in the 1 year, 6 weeks by 1.5 years of working there, she just a pharmacy technician. She has been there for years, 6 weeks vacation per year. I have been working in USA my entire life and never seen this being available anywhere. Certainly not one trucking company would ever live up to these expectations for anyone except maybe upper management.
