Are 23 year old step decks safe to run?

    I ended up getting a combination, since they seem to age better, be less prone to scrap metal level cracking over time. Only 10 years old.

    Yes as long as the under belly is not extremely rusted or bent. Or both. If extremely rusted will be very cautious.

    Yeah I went over it very well. Some paint falling off but nothing that I can't fix with a sand blaster, primer and 2 part epoxy paint.

    Once I heard you can't weld an aluminum frame with much success, I avoided it. I already know it work hardens. At least with steel you can successfully weld it to a high degree.
    The one I got has ramps, and the last owner had them weld in extra gussets to hold the ramps on, so the ramp attachment is to the frame now.
