if you would actually read it you would realize I did answer the question, but not what you wanted to read. You are what us veteran drivers call a "supertrucker" to where you run your mouth faster than your truck and you more full of crap than your dispatcher can get you to haul. have a good day. and learn how to spell. And you have been asked many of times how long you have been a driver, but yet you wont, or cant, answer it.

Roehl.... LOL better off goin to stock at walmart.
spinpsychle Thanks this. -
good points, although i rarely get 3 load offers anymore....just not enough freight moving right now..
-
better they take their time up front, and when you get there you are hired. some companies run 50 through orientation, only to sent 35 home by the end of it!
crete is very skittish after florida...3 d.o.t. visits that years alone!
they have tightened logging so much, it would be easier to do eobr! save they paper....
but, they run you LEGAL, and SAFE! and their equipment is maintained regularly, so i don't get hassled at the scalehouse.
they do REQUIRE that you fuel where they tell you to, unless you clear it through them. and run the route they want. but if they are paying me to go that way, who cares, right?
anyway, crete is good AND bad, depends alot on your teminal mgr(mine is kay miller, in ottawa,il). -
Roehl dropped me because I slid off the road into the ditch and they said it was a preventable accident even tho they told me I needed to go since the load had to be picked up and was supposed to be picked up the day before by another driver. I was with them 2 years and never had an incident or accident before. They just wanted to cut the higher paid drivers because they run their own school and can put a .28 newbie behind the wheel. I am now working for a small reefer co. near my home and getting more miles than before and better maintained equipment so it worked out okay for me. Overall Roehl isn'
t a bad company but if you go there be ready for some very strcit rules on how you need to do things like follow the route that they plan not yours even tho it may be more efficient or quicker. constant checks on where you are and wanting to know at least three times if you are going to be ontime. Good luck out there. -
Have you called Crete to follow up?? I've been in contact with my recruiter asking questions that I think of and following up. I'm hoping to be on my way to Nebraska in a couple weeks to start too!!
-
I finally got the answer from Crete and its been denied. But I don't hold it against them. I'll get my experience back with someone else and life will roll on

Good afternoon, I just left Marten but I will say they were a good company. They tend to do quite a bit of overbooking of freight but that can be viewed as a good thing. Also, they can from time to time be a bit spastic if they arent sure what you're doing or why you cant do something they want. If you've already signed up with Marten, let us know how it goes.

The crete accident killed seven kids in florida in 2006. Drivers log was way messed up. Happened on two lane. Crete rear ended car that was stopped behind school bus. The deaths occurred in the car. Ages 15 to 20 months. Crete was going 60, and there was no skid marks. He had 4 hours sleep in 24 hrs. Let this be a warning for all drivers! And may those children rest in peace.
