Got into Salt Lake for my pickup and.. I didn't have the correct pickup number.. imagine that!!
In case you didn't know. That's just trucking. Some companies have a harder time with that than others, but it happens.
2hrs later we (me and the office) found out I had one to many digits in the number. During this process I tried to get them to look it up via my delivery address but, this was one of those customers that, could look it up, but won't load you without the correct pickup number.
The good news is, I'm loaded on my way to a drop yard in French Camp. Then picking up an empty and heading home.
Home by Sunday and back out Tuesday.
Truck on..Stonehjl, Speed_Drums, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this. -
I know my clumsy ars will scratch this TV if I don't cover it. Lol
With the way Volvo set up their TV mount, there's no way to keep it out of the line of fire.
If i remember correctly Freightliner and Kenworth, they are mounted out of the line of traffic..
Just got this a couple of weeks ago. I don't watch much TV but figured I would install a new one, especially now while doing more OTR type hauling.
No more satellite. It's like those days are gone. I know some guys still have them. But for me, just a TV and my phone gets it done. I like simple technology

Didn't make it to my drop. Got to the top of Donner and .....Ka boom!! Blew a drive tire. What a freaking mess this was..
Ended up breaking the chain rack off bending it back into place. Chains are a tangled mess. About 5 hrs getting this mess taken care of. Ran my clock out! Relocated down the road to a safer location completely out of hours. Crazy day
Oh well! Keep on crushing it!Stonehjl, Speed_Drums, dwells40 and 4 others Thank this. -

After the massive delays last week with tire issues and pickup #, ended up NOT making it back to Redlands, but got close enough to where my wife could pick me up.
We enjoyed some BBQ with friends. Did my grocery run, meal prep, and back to the truck we go..
Then completed my MT drop in Redlands. Bobtail to shop where they replaced the mud flap and installed a new/used chain rack and chains.
Next assignment, picked up preloaded trailer heading back to Henderson CO. Let's try it again..
Quick truck wash and fuel and away we go..
Truck on..Stonehjl, dwells40, Speed_Drums and 2 others Thank this. -
Oh balls! Hanging at the TA. No load, there was talk of me picking up at 1am out of Golden CO.
Whatt the....xx
I wasn't to thrilled with that plan. It was done in an effort to get me back as per my usual home every weekend scheduled.
I run days. I haven't run nights like that in decades, except maybe running past midnight having a long day. But to start my shift at midnight... Nahh!!
Anyway, I would rather miss out on going home this weekend and see if they can get me home another way.
We will see what happens. So far they voided that 1am load, so I'm guessing they are working on something.Bumper Thanks this.
