Road Trip! With any luck, I will be back out on the highways on Monday. Renting a car and heading to Dixon Illinois to buy a car. Its a late model Lincoln MKZ and they are very hard to come by locally. So I made a deal through my FB MKZ page. I've sold my Suburban and he is coming up from Alabama on Sat to pick it up. Looking forward to a few days on the road. Shoulder is healing up pretty good too.

Was great to be back on the highway. 1400 miles but I got the car I wanted. Its a Grandpa car and I love it. Quiet and comfortable. Dropped by my old terminal in Shelbyville KY and popped in and surprised my old boss. Had a great catch up visit and then headed home. Shoulder didnt give me any problems and Im feeling better every week. Not quite ready to have the right one done yet.....hope your all keeping busy!

Sounds like things are progressing well. Who knows, maybe the open road still is calling you. Lol. God I hope not.

No, as far as big rigs are concerned stick a fork in me, I'm done. Don't even have a CDL anymore.

This is just me, but I'd never give up my CDL. I earned it, and even if I "swore" I'd never return to trucking, I'd not want to change my mind and want to drive again, and have to go through the entire testing process again. My CDL will go with me to my grave...lol

I understand, but I hit 70 and both shoulders went. I am healing up from left shoulder replacement surgery. No way I could pass a physical and I am truly tired of getting up and going to work every day. Much happier being fully retired. 52 straight years of working was enough for me.

Thoughts and Prayers with the setback and ongoing healing. Don’t push it too hard as recovery takes time to fully heal.

    Bumper and dwells40 Thank this.
