After dropping off redneck toys at Hoschton GA, went to this newer company in Chatsworth GA. Something Fibre going to Omaha for Thurs. Over two hours to load and 44k. Scaled it at Dalton 19. Barely legal but room to move a few holes. Only 280 miles today but ran hard and vampire this past weekend to stay away from traffic. Also enjoyed a lot of early 50s music on Sirius XM. I had no idea how great the singing vocals and orchestral accompaniments were. No wonder why rock and roll got some backlash. After Omaha, I am sure a Four Oaks home load is in the offing as we will celebrate the wife's birthday next week.

Now cuthbert .....its easy to get into and well marked from the road ...proceed to the gaurd house and the nice lady will give directions to the tyson mill which is not part of the plant you see ahead of you !
Stay on that dirt road all the way past the southwest corner of that plant past some junk trucks and sewage lagoons ....stay on the dirt road and don't turn left towards the plant ....this road is more like a trail and you will eventually drive into the woods , down a short hill and the road turns sharply to the right next to some rr tracks .
Now you be looking at the mill , the scale house and some docks .
Don't drive onto the scale just park and take paperwork to the scale house and you will unload in those docks to your right ..the are nice people and very fast unloading .
There is a small truck stop in cuthbert but it is a dump with deep holes in the small parking lot .wulfman75, Bl19811, BigR and 1 other person Thank this. -
I haven't given a rundown of my week lately.... sooo... last week, left the house early Monday, went up to Shell Rock, IA, then bounced to FT. Dodge, IA grabbed a load going to Lincoln, NE. Dropped that then volunteered to do some local stuff to get a few more miles in to finish the pay period on Tuesday. Picked up a load in Lincoln drug that over to the CB yard, grabbed a load there and delivered that to Waverly, NE. Then bounced out to Aurora, NE, those deadhead miles finished the pay period. Picked up a Los Lunas, NM load there to start a new pay period with. Dropped that wed then Picked up a pallet load in Albuquerque, took that to Schuyler, NE Dropped and bounced back out to Aurora, NE to pick up a load going to Lancaster, TX. Took that home for the weekend. Left early Monday morning, Dropped in Lancaster, then picked up another Duncanville, TX load going back to Shell Rock, IA. Dropped that this morning, then bounced to Ft. Dodge again for another Lincoln load. Won't make Lincoln till early tomorrow am, so that one will go on next week's settlement, this week ending today was 3,514 paid miles, not bad for going home Fri afternoon and leaving 3am Monday. Previous week that ended when i picked up the NM load was right at 3,000 but that was because of the fiasco in MI with a refused trailer ( still haven't been paid for that yet) that's another 100 empty miles. After Lincoln tomorrow, I'll bounce up to Fremont and pick up a load for Edwardsville, IL. Not one of my favorites to say the least! But freight in NE is screwed up today, so this'll keep me moving and get through Wednesday at least.

Just got off the phone with trey ...turns out the guy that hit me was the owner of the hvac company and he got 3 tickets .
1.leaving the scene of a injury or property damage accident.
2. Failure to maintain lane .
3. And I didn't fully understand # 3 but it was another separate ticket for hit and run of some kind .MidWest_MacDaddy, JoeyJunk, wulfman75 and 5 others Thank this. -
Based on the pictures I sent fcc freightliner in omaha already gave an initial estimate of 8100.00 , this doesn't include the tow bill or the work that was done in KC to get the truck road legal .
Truck won't be totaled now and still gotta get final estimate at freightliner when I get home but our insurance company has already said the pictures are good enough so no adjuster needed .
Sounds like with the cam footage the hvac contractors insurance company has already stepped up to the plate too so I may not have a deductible.MidWest_MacDaddy, gntorres61, JoeyJunk and 10 others Thank this. -
