    Yes my name is patrick conroy i juss graduated school on feburary 23rd 2nd in my class anyways most compnaies wont talk to me because i have a felony it is nine and half years old i got it in 2000 i did one year in jail and to on paper i got a guy trying to rape my gf at the time and knocked his teeth down his throat repeatedly anyways i got charged with a class e felony assault not aggravated but i have not found a copnay that will look at me because of that i am asking for any help in this matter and any compnaies that u can tell me bout would be greatly appreciated i went to school from janurary4th to feburary 24th five days a week from 8 in the morning til 2:30 in afternoon anyways i really need advice and sum directions on were to go and how together and hopefully there is a job out there and didnt waste my time tryin to start a new career in something i wanted to do for a long time thank you for all your time and your answers and advice would be greatly appreciated

    It might be better to see if you can do anything local, like driving a dump truck, or driving for an owner operator.

    Please Lord forgive me,

    Have you tried C.R.England?

    They're an awful company, no joke, but it might be your only hope for an over the road trucking job. If they hire you, be forewarned, that they will exploit your desperation.

    I can't wholeheartedly recommend them, because even if you work for them for awhile, you still going to have trouble getting a better job.

    By the way, I'm also from TN--what school did you go to? It wasn't Volunteer, was it? Why in the hell didn't the school warn you about problems driving w/a felony? Also, did they give you a loan to go to school, or did you pay cash?

    why are they an awful compnay and naw i have not tried them juss filled out app for them and i went to tennessee technology center at crump driving school and they did i had a job with sisson right out of school but then from the time i started and the time i graduated they went completely out of business so nowi am stuck and tryin to find a job u have any other ideas or know anybody that might hire me for like an owner operator or something but anyways thanx for input i did put in juss now for cr england but explain to me please why they are a bad compnay and ttyl man thanx for info holla back soon

    why is cr england a bad company what is wrong witht them please xplain and yea i just filled out appplication for4 them i went to tennessee technology center # crump and naw i got in through wia so no money and they did warn me but i had a job with sisson and then they closed down befor ei graduated so i am actually screwed but thank for the info let me know more man if ya find out more whenever you can and u kno of any owner operators or compnaies hiring felonies please let me know and ttyl bro maybe i see ya out there sometime

    Read through the threads and I think that it may answer some of your questions.

    To be honest, I am not yet even a student. I applied for driving school last week but there was a SNAFU with the paperwork and the state grant. Now I am trying to raise the funds to go.

    Anyway, in my opinion I feel that many of the trucking companies arent the best to work for. I also feel that if you go in with a good attitude, dont stir up any trouble, stay on the good side of the folks at the trucking company, take the loads offered even if they are short or crappy loads, etc. you will be fine. I think if you make the best of the situation, you will be ok even with a company that everyone is dogging on. If nothing else stick with it for a year then move on.

    At this point in your life, you may have to take the bottom of the barrel, but just make the best of it and move on.
