    I'm so glad that I don't have to fuel it truck stops very often these days. I'm here at the pilot in wytheville right now been here 20 minutes and I'm still not at the pump yet. Every pump was three deep when I got here.

    It happens everywhere but I have noticed with us fueling more now at TA and Petro it doesn’t happen nearly as often. I haven’t been to a loves in months.

    Was at truck world in Conneaut, Ohio today. I don’t want to sound weird but I saw the hottest Amish woman I have ever seen. Probably an indication I need some hometime.

    So anyway I need to apologize to the trucker world now. Tomorrow I am unleashing probably the worst student I have taken to completion onto the world. Someone has to be the worst and this guy just might be it. So very little improvement over the course of 8 weeks.
    Nice guy all the way around, just had a major mental block from taking my advice on how to improve his skills and make his life easier.

    He has met the minimum requirements.

    I don't think I've ever seen an Amish woman that I thought was hot. I've seen some that I thought were pretty and then I remember that most of them do not shave at all. I know some guys don't mind that but this guy does.

    But I can appreciate the simple, dressed down look. I once had a friend tell me that I liked young women who dressed like old ladies.
    ..and she wasn't exactly wrong.

    From what I remember, you've had some challenging students. This one must be bad for you to consider them the worst. I bet he's better than the guy that asked me to back his truck into a dock for him, I still wonder about him.

    Just because they’ve met the minimum requirements doesn’t mean you have to give the OK to go on their own. At least when I was training there you have final say. And they are the minimum requirements not the only requirements. If you feel he’s not ready to be on his own, you have the ability and honestly the responsibility to tell Greg(if it’s still Greg in that position) that he needs to stay with a trainer longer. Giving a person an 80,000 lb rolling rocket just cuz he’s met the minimum requirements is wreckless.

    Don’t take this the wrong way either we’ve met and I know you’re a good dude just don’t feel pressured to say OK he’s ready just because he’s met some minimal requirements.

    The hottest Amish woman I saw must have been a Menonite out in the Missouri countryside when it was blazing hot out. She was standing in the bed of a pickup truck putting diesel in a fuel can covered head to toe. I needed a Gatorade after driving for a while, I don't know how she handled the heat.

    I don't get fuel anymore, they do that for me at my latest gig and except for the points, I don't miss it at all. I can watch Bonehead Truckers next time I want to see drivers spending too much time getting fuel.

    So I'm unofficially a trainer this week. Ran into a new driver at the yard yesterday morning. When he found out we were going to the same place he asked if it was okay to follow. Has local driving experience and dump bucket experience but not used to driving OTR or regional. So we go dump in Gary. I put in my empty call and get presented with a list of availabile loads. I pick one. Dispatcher comes back and tells me there's only on of those available, asks me if I'm okay to take the other one since there's 2 of those so the new guy can follow me. So here we are, in northeast Chicago/Calumet, loading scrap.
