The problem right now is freight slowdown. Companies are being more picky in hiring.
When there's lots of freight, companies are more lenient with hiring criteria.
Either way, you'll find a job.

Refrigerated companies haul food and medicine, which is always in demand even during a recession.
Apply to every type of company though. -

Chinatown is right -- your REAL problem here is the current freight/job market.
If you are just starting out now -- it's REALLY BAD.
When I first started CDL driving, I had a similar employment gap, yet I got a job. But things were markedly better then than now.
Relax -- it's still doable.
Your biggest mistake at this point -- is if you get discouraged.
Going forward -- your attitude will later determine your altitude.
