Are these roadside sniffers pretty recognizeable?? If so a guy can just push the clutch in n idle as you go by so it aint gonna get much of a reading. Even if you got one, but are based outa state, what enforcement do they have to do anything to you?

Still waiting to hear from anybody that has actually encountered the carb nazi's face to face. I still don't understand how they can legally interfere with interstate commerce. And who's to say their sniffers are even up to snuff? How often are they calibrated? Checked for accuracy? What if that's lingering exhaust from the truck ahead of you? Key off, coast through, key on. See ya!

CARB was at the CHP San Onofre Inspection Facility on 9/10/2023 inspecting trucks.
