So you paid 15% in capital gains tax?
I withdrew from my 401K and didn’t pay a 10% penalty; I only paid tax as income, since it’s deferred.

The stock hadn't appreciated that much during the time I held it, so it didn't amount to very much as far as raw dollars.
There are certain circumstances when you can take an early withdrawal without paying the penalty. I hope you weren't facing a hardship.ducnut Thanks this. -
No, i do no not consider it free money. The employee works for every cent he gets.

I think PTL upped their pay, and they've improved their equipment. There's a guy on here who got over 60 cpm if I'm not mistaken. He got on with them last year I believe and doing really well there. He was getting some good miles too, so it may have changedducnut Thanks this.

They say 100% “employee owned” . We actually are owners of the company and get a percentage every year. That’s not an advertisement for line haul percentages paid out to truck “owner operators”…REO6205 Thanks this.

We have Great equipment. New trucks, and we are turning over our older trailers constantly with new Wabash ones from the Lafayette, Indiana plant lately…Speed_Drums, bryan21384 and Bumper Thank this.

Be sure to thoroughly look those new trailers over. I’ve pulled more than one with issues right out of the plant in spite of the units having to go through a final inspection upon departure. Lights and even brakes. Picked up one that had already been in use several weeks that was basically missing half of one entire brake assembly.Bumper Thanks this.

Yep! Your right. I just pulled 2 yesterday out of the Wabash plant. They were fine, but, they had to readjust the brakes on one.. the abs light was on.
48Packard Thanks this. -
I used to get trailers out of there some years back. Every one needed the hub oiler bolts tightened or they would be slinging oil from the get go.
