You have nothing you can do. USDA report would have said damaged in transit or bad product.
Company should have asked for USDA and fought the claim.
Why do people want to haul produce without knowing how to protect themselves?

Truth be told, shippers, receivers, buyers, sellers, brokers, carriers all do shady things in this industry and it sucks. Id bet it was loaded hot or already bad product. Some shipper moved their bad product or some buyer somewhere got over on you.
I would demand your company provide a detailed explanation in writing : id ask for any USDA inspections done (border crossing, shipper or receiver), and also a salvage report. Every claim i've ever had, we salvage it and get some sort of return on the product to offset the loss. I am sure the customer salvaged the product.Siinman and vrebchenko Thank this. -
He sued and won, yet, a year later he never received payment.
He went back to court, got a 12%interest charged by the court.
He then went and put a lien on every tractor the dealership had on its lot.
He was paid in 3 days..PaulMinternational, gekko1323, Siinman and 1 other person Thank this. -
And liens are bad for business.Siinman Thanks this. -
