Yup regional guys are taking otr coast to coast saving company .11 cpm per run and best of all when winter comes they can say I'm se regional and avoid the snow... bad deal for otr runners I have myself and another senior driver gonna start butching but what goods it gonna do of the company is saving money that way... I personally know a se regional getting 3500 back to back weeks running PA to CA down to TX up to OH and back within those lanes how the ## is that se regional!? It's bsJarhed1964 Thanks this.

The best way to solve that problem is wave bye-bye and work for a smaller, less micromanaging company. Creaffer does the same thing every time the economy slows down. Do what @drvrtech77 and I did and step back from 5000 truck companies and work for one with a couple hundred or less.Last edited: Jul 29, 2023

Saw a new Shaffer trailer coming across I-84 yesterday....normal Shaffer logo, with a big 'Dedicated' underneath. Not sure I have ever seen one like that.

I know a couple guys that work for a company with 7 trucks .
They get paid 20% of the gross ,
average 88 cpm all miles ,
$97k last year driving a new W-900 company truck . Home every weekend , off 6 weeks or so a year when things are slow , company pays $550 a week if no work as long as you call in twice a day . company does heavy haul RGN stuff and they don’t crank the truck unless they get $10 a loaded mile . But they run a lot of empty miles to go get the $10 a mile stuff.
I’ve seen em run from Georgia to Idaho empty for free to grab a big paying load back to the southeast .
There’s good company’s out there , but they ain’t going to come looking for you , you gotta go find them .Lamborghini Owner Op, Deadwood, Jarhed1964 and 3 others Thank this. -
