What’s that? The tank shut off valve?

I’ve replaced all the fuel lines from tank to engine.,Ofhers from tank to tank were replaced about 5 years ago. I reused the Eaton weather??? fittings. Had to replace one. Also had a couple leakers. Had to re do them. I’m also now losing prime. So I’ve made the problem worse. It was after only about an hour. Since I re did the two ends, it’s after a day. Very aggravating. So it’s definitely an air in fuel problem. I pressurized the tanks, trying to get fuel to show up on the suction hoses from tank to pump. No luck. Shouldn’t be the injector cups. They’re new. Right now I’m real low on fuel. About 1/8 tank. It started sputtering pretty bad. Going to re do the hose fittings. Put a thin layer of brake fluid on them before assembling. Maybe that will swell the lines up a bit. Next will be replacing the shut off valve with individual brass valves, and a straight T on return lines. Eliminating the shut off valve. They’re notorious for leaking. Cost $480 to replace. A straight T would work, but I like having a shut off for each Tank. I’ve been running on only one tank for a while. The passengers side started over flowing. Each side pulls down, returns and works fine individually. Only when valve is set on “Both” does the right side overflow. It’s something simple no doubt. Doesn’t really hurt anything. Only does it occasionally, and I can make it stop by revving it. Just can’t believe it’s such a common problem, and no one can figure it out.

I think he means Quantity Control Valve. I asked about it on page 2 and never heard back. Its on the back of the High Pressure Fuel pump.

Vent issues? If air cant get out, fuel cant come in. Then all fuel returns to one tank.

Vents are clear. I dropped a plastic bottle in it. Might have been blocking the p/u tube. A piece showed up in filter. I need to drop both tanks, clean and inspect the pick up tubes. Haven’t had any time to do it.

Maybe i didnt claryify. This is the white smoke after a dd15 delete. I did injectors then i had cans cleaned out again mechanic went through this thing and cant find anything wrong. It just looks horrible when it happens. Im just curious if its as simple as the fuel quantity control valve.

Has any one heard about somehow shutting off fuel doser valve? Comment on a youtube video. Dude just made the comment. Said truck would smoke but nothings wrong with it but that should be done on a dd15 delete.
