We for me I was in the industry most of my adult life.(35 years) That was until 2003 when i fell off a and wiped out my shoulder. I took a couple years off and no one will touch me. I know that there will be no more flatbeds in my life. But I do miss the time on the road. I now install networks and security equipment. I don't do alarms, But do hand and card scanners and that type of equipment.

I got married and opened a vintage car restoration shop.

I still drove off & on however and still do to this day, when I have a break from my duties as a Mortician. I just don't do long haul OTR stuff, most local with the occasional run west of the Mississippi.

Thing is I was already working at a morgue when I got asked to help drive when a friend's company was short handed. I did that for a few years, quitting the morgue. Now I'm back full circle, morgue full time, driving part time.:biggrin_25520:
