DOT physical at hospital in my medical network

Uh Oh. What are you worried about?

Usually they just go by what you report on the paperwork - so keep it pretty simple.

 

They know what you tell them on the form. FYI it's better to have your personal medical doctor and your DOT doctor not be the same, just in case. It can buy you time to fix a problem before your Medical Card is yanked.

 

I have spoken to several Drivers over the years that have told me several of the Sentara providers that also do DOT physicals have asked them questions about their medical history. When a name is entered into the system the medical history automatically comes up. If you have medical landmines in your medical records I HIGHLY advise you to NOT use your primary providers health network to get a DOT physical. Understand this is NOT a HIPAA situation, be advised!!!!

 

Just go into Urgent Care, or similar, pay $75 and get on with your business.
