Hey all. Heres the deal, if i go to a driving school that also owns a trucking business, well say one like CR England(just an example) and take their driving program, do i have to work for that company then? Can I just learn with them and be off?

    Thanks:biggrin_25519:

Do you sign a contract w/them? In most cases, yes--or owe them the cost of the training.

well can you just pay full price for training without signing a contract, get your certificate and leave to work for another company?

It might be better to go to a school w/o a contract if you have the money.

go to a community college that has a certified training course that most companys will accept, costs a lot less than some of these special trucking schools, and you dont have to sign a contract. you can then go to any company you want to.

if you go to a company owned school they wave the cost if you stay at least a year or more, depending who you go with and yes you will sign a bjnding contract. you can get the same training at a community college at half the cost. some of these professional truking schools are also professional rip offs. research before you commit.

Contracts that require you to work for them for a year or so. And at your 11th month, they screw you over so bad you quit, and since you didn't finish your end of the deal, they'll stick you w/a bill for the schooling and screw up your DAC report, so you don't go work for the competition.

Trucking is really screwed up, especially right now. DO NOT TRUST C R ENGLAND!
