Well, good luck Mr. Perfect. When you find the perfect company with perfect drivers, let us all know about it won't you?

Don't worry so much about how they spend their money sparky.....my direct deposit hits the bank every Friday. Maybe you should find another conspiracy theory.

I'm not touchy. I just get tired of uninformed speculation. It is easy to criticize without first hand experience.

Being a 1099 says it all....
Without mentioning their CSA score or company cheer leaders

    ;)
I don't lose sleep over it, trust me.;)My money hits Friday too, although my employer has a better rep. However, its companies of ill repute like this one that puts our profession in a negative light. And it's not a conspiracy theory when the violations are listed by the Feds.

    Food for thought.

I agree, but if you look around you at the average truck driver today, it isn't hard to understand why so many companies are scrutinized. I've been out here since 1998. Driven container, flatbed, reefer, dry van, doubles and double tanks. Driven over 2 million miles. I don't see many real attentive drivers anymore. 95% Of drivers I see are undertrained and have an attitude and an unwillingness to comunicate. A dangerous combination in our profession. This combined with a driver shortage is largely responsible for bad safety records don't you think?

That's only part of the issue. Hours of service rules,NIMBYS, companies that try to screw drivers over pay(especially companies trying to haul freight on the cheap)excessive micromanaging, all of those factors have contributed to the "driver shortage".

You have to tell them how to do their job here. How to dispatch? How to get payroll right? How get maintenance done? Home time is an issue, unpredictable, maybe it's on a Saturday/Sunday or Monday/ Tuesday or Thursday/Friday. In the end they steal from your check ( I'm supposed to get paid for Effingham to Richmond, KY to Jonestown, PA , then Baltimore, MD to Mississippi, then Mississippi to Decatur, IL) only thing on my check was Richmond, KY to Fredericksburg, PA. I'm a civil person but they aren't honest.
