I graduated from Roadmaster inc of tampa florida almost three months ago. While i was there i was "pre hired" to work for covenant. After my 160+ hour training had finished i went home and waited untill march 8th the day i was to call in and get my bus ticket for orientation. To my dismay they pushed me back a month because my i.d. is a fort myers address and they only hire out of tampa. i explained to her that i would have it changed the next day which i did. I call back and sure enough she gave my seat up and LOST ALL MY PAPER WORK. I cannot afford to wait any longer, if i do my cdl WILL be suspended as i have not payed for child support in 4 months. can anyone tell me who is hiring graduates FOR WHATEVER PAYS i dont care what i make. i dont care if i haul cat turds. i just want to make a paycheck and get on with my life. please anyone that knows any company hiring out of tampa let me know.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Is there any dump truck, commodities haulers, or garbage truck driver jobs in your area? It could be a start. Just my 2C
-
Have you tried Knight..? They do new drivers and I think they will hire from your area...
knighttrans dot com...
Good luck. -
Good luck. You know it's bad when you get a technical crock of ##### from Covenant. Couple years ago they were paying referrals on anybody with a pulse wasn't they? lol.
-
i think Stevens transport hires recent students, new drivers in your area, i believe they are in texas not sure.
-
knight doesn't seem to be hiring from my area thanks anyways though. and doesn't it look bad on your resume that you drove a dump truck? i mean the money is in OTR. that is after all what i would like. keeping in mind i will take what i can get i will look into it though.

they wouldent take cause of a suspention i had over three years ago

Give Werner a call(800-433-5655). I know they are hiring teams in the Tampa area because that's where I'm from. I'm actually moving to Texas to drive for them. I've driven for them before and don't believe all the bull c__p you read about them, their not so bad.

I'd look in to Waste Management, you say the money is in OTR, you're fooled there, atleast for the first few years. Waste Management is hiring a lot all over Florida right now, I haul in to one of their landfills in north florida and all their residential drivers I talk to are happy and paid very well with full benefits.

Call Willis Shaw,
Swift,
Wil-trans
But first call Covenant and explain things AGAIN, and practically beg them. Be as nice as you know how.
You're burning daylight man, go after a job !!!!!
