Learning flatbed in Florida during the winter months might not be bad gig -- and would get you the CDL start-up experience you need.

Not sure at this point whether they will hire you that far south in Florida -- but it's sure worth a try....

If they do hire you -- try your best to stay there for AT LEAST A YEAR.

Even longer is of course, better. Later on -- you'll be glad you did....

I did apply to them, but I haven't heard back yet and I don't want to reach out now because I'm still in school. I applied to most companies that I wanted to drive for on the list I have, some are not hiring in my area, and others say when I get my CDL to contact them. Here is the order: Magnum; not hiring in my area, Indian River Transport; needs at least 6 months of experience, May Trucking; Not hiring in my area, Werner; hiring team, Windy Hill Trans is hiring, US Xpress; hiring and told me to call back when I got my CDL. So after that, I stopped applying and waiting until I'm graduating to apply.

I haven't tried them, their reviews scared me a little.

 

Also, if you guys know other Food grade Tanker companie that's hiring recent CDL graduates in Florida that'd be great now that Indian River Transport is not an option anymore.
