IRS visits Sacramento carwash in pursuit of 4 cents

... how much do you think it cost to do that... like 500 bucks to send a guy to collect 4... cents...

 

note the interest and penalties of $202

 

still probably cost more than that to have people go collect it. in the mean time others owe hundreds of thousands and get ignored.

The sad part is that the IRS does not send out collection people until the issue has not been answered.

They send letters and requests with correspondence. If not responded to, they will then send out the collectors.

This was brought on by the owner.

 

I would have taped a nickel to a note telling to keep the change!
