I work there and have nothing but respect for curtis and Jim Crowder they are just trying to make it, but when you treat your drivers with disrespect then you'll get disrespect in return but they do give the exp. needed to go somewhere else and if you run good they will treat you good they always did me.I am a little upset about the way things are run and all that but It isn't my business and I am just a driver, If you talk good to the customers then you will get unloaded and loaded alot quicker but then there are those couple of drivers who don't know when to shut up and just let things go but that goes back to who trained them not who hired them

 

well i sent my mvr to carolina cargo a week ago and aint heard nothing

 

That is just what I mean brother.
We used to have Shaw but we lost it because of driver behaviour.
That was a good steady flow to Yuma AZ.
Hopefully they can get them back.

 

If I would have looked for a site like this before I went through CDI or went to work for Carolina Cargo which by the way are both owned by that scum bag Jim Crowder I would have gone to work for McDonalds instead of wasting my time. CDI I think does have top notch instructors who want top notch drivers on the road. But when it came to being a person steering the wheel for a Convict Cargo truck. That is where I should have been running man. The things they have a steering wheel turner do for $.10 a mile is unheard of anywhere in this business. When you broker your own load, driver an unsafe truck, have money taken from you as a result of "dispatch" being to lazy to answer their own QuilCom messages. Then you as a driver have $25.00 deducted from a pay check that you will already get shafted on to begin with. To getting loads that have 2 day delivery date in maryland and you are just leaving Washington state. I am so happy to see that this thief is going out of business, what I feel bad for is the people who spent the time behind the wheel are going to be unemployeed and pretty much unemployable. I personally have been denied jobs because I worked for that scum bag Jim Crowder. That man is nothing more then a Chicken Hawk, praying on people who are down on their luck who have a past they're trying to leave behind them. He screws over everyone that drives for him. And somehow is protected enough to open yet another business just as the failing one is ready to close the doors. Alot of CC trucks are being looked for by the Repo man, call the company and have them check the vin and tell them to give you a bus ticket home and enough for a meal or two. Because if they get them on their own you are stuck!!! I have offered them my Repo service for free just to give Jim a taste of his treatment back... Contact Erin and have her check your vin. Get ready to file your complaints with sc board of employment, and join my fight or start your own to get your money owed and your dignity back. Don't grovel you are owed the money. Don't settle because it is your money you will be settling for. Get your's and stop him from doing this to someone else. I know guys who are in prison for doing less then Jim Crowder is doing. Hammer Down, and be safe. Your life is NOT worth his Load..

 

I have to agree with you there brother, but we as drivers have a responsibility to the brokers as long as your under there load but I also know that you can go somewhere else if need be I am I have someone who already called me BECAUSE I worked for carolina cargo so don't get discouraged, it will also be also get better you just have to have faith and we all know that Jim Crowder thinks he's God but he really isn't lol So don't get all bummed out he'll get his due you don't have to be the one to do it Sc better business or whatever it's called will

 

Looks like the writing is on the wall, companies that operate outside the norm, cutting pay, pushing leases, slow or no pay, having equipment repo'd are dying.

Question is will you jump into the liferaft or go down with the sinking ship???
