Gets cold at nite across there even on summer months. Is it same cold as the regular nite cold, or compounded by this?

Oops Wrong. Thought you were at your CASA . Stay warm enroute...

Memory... Way back when, snowplows ran Blue lights. Then the cops took them. The blue flash cast a nice glow over the snow, I would miss that.

Good quality full synthetic lubricants can go quite a distance/time. 7500 to 10,000 miles.

Guess I have set a record. Been driving and owning car/pickups or over 70 years and have never had to replace an engine or rebuild a transmission.
Changed oil and filter at 3,000, ATF and screen/filter at it suggested. Oil, ATF and filters are cheaper than engine/trans rebuilds. It is like FRAM said...
"Pay me now or pay me later." Mostly changed my own in POV. Had the Dakota done last week for $27.92 at my regular Goodyear shop. To old now.
"Note, new and used of many makes and sizes."

Right. Not sure mom would spring for synthetic or not. Have never mentioned it. Regular oil is 60 bucks at local outfit. She gripes about that lol
I use synthetic in my vehicles. Just did the Silverado at 4100 but it had been 13 months.
