Do you remember the first time you heard about CSA 2010? When was it?

I'm not so ambitious... "So many trucking companies, so little time"JustSonny Thanks this.

In 2007, FMCSA completed most of the development work for the CSA 2010 operational model (Op-Mod).

Well I went to a training class this week and they told us keep doing what where doing, and don't get carried away. That our inspection reports are going to be looked at much harder. They used an example of one of our guys in our state who wrote up a driver for No Log Book and then hit him again for No Previous 7 Days, well if didnt have a log book we know he didnt have his last seven days!!

Do you work for a company where you do your pre-trip, then go ahead and leave and write up what ever you find, to be fixed when you return perchance?JustSonny Thanks this.

I'm still amazed how you can be having a conversation with another driver on the cn and al of a sudden you get all these people keying and asking, "What the hell are you guys talking about? I ain't never heard of that CSA 2010! REALLY!
How do you not know what's going on in the world you live in especially YOUR CAREER!
JustSonny Thanks this. -
One of the things I read said that, for CSA 2010 to have the maximum desired impact, state enforcement has to "speed process" info from SAFETYNET to MCMIS (Seems to me that if you feed one you feed the other, I guess not though). Has any pressure been put on LEOs or, is transmitting the data even within the scope of an LEOs job? Data quality and data abundance seem to be two key concerns of FMCSA.

Im pretty sure I wouldn't if it wasn't for this board. I asked the guy im leased to about it a while back. He'd never heard about it. I have asked a few of the drivers that run in the same circles as I do, and they haven't heard about it. Honestly, how would ya know if you didnt get on this board?
Of course I get Land Line magazine, and I hit Google pretty hard, but for those they don't. How would they ever know until it hit them?Panhandle flash and JustSonny Thank this.
