Foghat - Witte's hometime depends on where you live. If you live within 150 miles of the terminal in Troy, you can get home every week. The 67 plan is for drivers that live further out. They are out 6 weeks, then are home for 7 days. Right now they are buying Pete 387 trucks. I believe they are switching all of their trucks to Pete, but the Volvos they have now are pretty darn nice. Hope this helps.

I tried sending a PM and a visitor message but was denied since I haven't posted. I am seeking trucker974 personally because I really respect his posts and agree with his philosophies. Beyond that, I really want to get into the Witte Bros Driving School and work for them. Trucker974, if you could please Instant Message me on yahoo at steveschmidlap I would really appreciate getting some feedback from you before I jump into anything. I really value and respect what you have to say. I have read all your posts, and I like your attitude. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you,
Steve -
Is white still looking for drivers I am looking to maybe go to work for them.
Thanks -
I cant do private messages yet on hear...I can be reached at bjcyoung@yahoo
thanks for getting back with me...what kind of miles are the drivers averaging? do they seem like a good company to work for? do the divers seem to like working for them?
Thanks -
Witte is a LTL company as far as miles I am still in training and will have a better idea as time goes on they are a very good company to work for

I tried to send you a message via messenger, and not sure if you got it or not. Let me know.

To the others that are asking, Witte drivers average about 2100 miles per week, we do not typically do the miles that some truckload carriers do because we haul LTL. That means that we make mostly multi stop deliveries. We get paid for each stop and for the unloading that we do on the load. Yes, we do unload.

Trucker974 or any one else that works for Witte Bros
I am looking to maybe change professions and go to work for this company, and I ran into a guy in Troy Mo and he told me the only reason Witte was looking for drivers cause most of them have quit and they are in bad shape for drivers. Is this true?
Also he told me he has never found anybody that liked working for them. Now granted this guy comes off as a know it all
Thankstrucker974 Thanks this.
