It was good. Lately not so much. No pay raises no bonus’s not even holiday. Loads have slowed down significantly, right now on a load that was fubar’d from the beginning. Still in the dock for 10 hours. Probably have to fight for detention. Maybe just a few bad months. I don’t know.

 

Maybe. Well I just called by the dock. Your bills we’re ready yesterday. Mmm ok why wasn’t I called. “Dock” I don’t know. Then they said oh you can drop an hook. Meanwhile all the info I had tells me live unload. You think dispatch would have told me. It’s like the right hand and left hand don’t know what’s going on here.

 

We are all feeling the heat. Everything is slower than it was this time last year but I'm still making ends meet so I can't complain. I can still get about 2500 miles weekly. I'd like to see 27-2800 miles or more weekly. That was the norm until the freight recession. I'm live loading/unloading a lot more frequently.

It’s not very often we do drop and hook. At least for me. We wait the standard 2 hrs before detention that we have to ask for. And some times it’s not available, of course they won’t tell you that before you accept the load.
