My 2004 Classic XL is leaking. Are the A/C condensors repairable or do you simply fork out the money and replace them? I'll be doing whatever work myself, at least pulling it and putting it back in.
Does anyone know a place in SoCal that would have a decent price to repair it or to get a replacement?
Thanks in advance.

I am not sure how they are in trucks, but I know in cars and light trucks the aluminum is so thin you can't really repair them anymore.

Thanks. That's what I assumed but I'm always hoping. I prefer to repair whenever possible, I just hate "parts replacers".

If the damage is in a thicker part of the condenser like the lines it may be repairable . but something must have caused the failure in the first place, so that would need to be addressed

Better to just replace. Repairing them is not worth it anymore.

I like the way you think. I know too many people that replace the broken part without consideration to what broke it. I've got a good friend that replaces things over and over and never fixes the problem.

If you are in socal like me try california auto air in in Orange, CA 714-997-2800. I always replace them. who wants to charge system and then have a leak and have to start all over again. These guys always have had parts or been able to get them. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I picked it up today at Long Beach Freightliner. They had 1 in stock and were actually reasonably priced. It seems much better built than the old one as well. Thanks for the advice.
