@booley Look, I have straps on a steel load(front section)

 

At least got to tarp inside yesterday, not so much today

 

4 stops kicked off today.

 

Had to use a “Cheater” rope(in picture) to pull the chains over. Age catching up I guess

 

Good thinking Dave but that’s why I use straps…

I started using a "cheater rope" in '78 for loads over 12ft high and by '95 i was down to 8ft high "chain over" loads (pipe, structural steel, etc). We used 5/16 g7 chain for all "stick and bricks" loads until '80 when the company started installing winches on the trailers.

 

Plastic wrapped alfalfa. Gonna make some happy goats. Yesterday’s load.
