I have a 1994 Volvo/White COE that I recently purchased and it has all new batteries this year and all have a full charge. Unfortunately, the cab jack needs rebuilt and I am waiting on repair kit so for the moment I can't raise the cab. The issue is a couple of weeks ago I went to start it and it struggled to initially turn over and with the cab door open I saw a spark shoot from under cab. Since then I've tried to restart but the only thing it does is click one time and that's it. I thought I was chasing a bad ground but havent found anthing as of yet.
This is my first big truck so sorry if this sounds like dumb question. Thanks in advance for any help.

Check your positive connections especially at the starter .. also maybe your starter has pretty much give up the ghost

Put a multi meter on the positive terminal of the starter make sure you have a good ground for your meter have somebody try starting it and see what the meter does if it drops voltage severely you have a bad connection if it stays about the same voltage when trying to start well more than likely is the starter
My friend @Rideandrepair is the Detroit Guy he can help you if it’s the starter

Yes, check wiring connections. I had the main ground from batteries onto the frame get rusty under the bolt and cause a dragging starter.
Also had a wire crimp connector attached to the start relay on my firewall get so corroded that it broke off.
Seeing as it struggled to turn over I would look for a connection.
Once I did have a starter that had an internal bushing turn in the housing causing binding, but it would still clunk when I tried to start it.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.
